In addition to providing information to the public through print media outlets via press releases, feature stories and interviews, the public information office is charged with developing speeches and presentations for the department; updating the Web site on a near-daily basis; developing a media relations system and database, including electronic, targeting media contacts; and coordinating with the media relations manager on joint promotional efforts. Video Services Division
The Tourism Department continues taking advantage of new technologies that make us more effective, and the production of video programming is probably the fastest growing segment of this evolution at NMTD. We have created TV news feature stories, documentaries, and Visitor Center programming to help spread New Mexico's reputation as a beautiful tourist destination. Our productions appear on local and national broadcast and cable television, at trade shows, and on the internet. The Video Services program also supplies stock New Mexico video to network and syndicated television producers, and produces Public Service Announcements for NMTD and other government agencies.
