Visitor Information Centers

The Visitor Information Center program’s main objective is to get the traveling public to slow down while traveling through the state and visit the attractions in the areas near the centers or on their way through the state. There are 10 year-round Visitor Information Centers at key entry points around the state, with most of them situated on or near major state highways utilizing Department of Transportation Rest Areas, Property Control buildings and partnerships.

The Visitor Information Center program has been in existence since 1972. To find out what’s available at the centers and how they can help you promote your organization or event,
