Edgewood

Central region of New MexicoFounded in the early 1930's, Edgewood was the homestead of a number of families that still maintain deep roots in the community. The traditional Edgewood area is 15 square miles. It is 20 miles East of Albuquerque on Interstate 40. It is 51 miles South of the City of Santa Fe, which is the county seat. The town is located in the Southwestern corner of the County of Santa Fe. Edgewood is on the Eastern side of the Sandia Mountains and is protected from the desert heat. Interstate 40 cuts directly through town and is easily accessible from the North and the South. This is particularly attractive to businesses. Two major supermarkets have opened their doors in the last three years as well as a second major automobile dealership.
