Ride the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, Fall Foliage Trains

Santa Fe Indian MarketThe fall foliage journey begins the moment the powerful steam locomotive leaves the station, the gradual climb into the Rockies begins, and the wonders of a time past unfold. Ahead, high mountain passes, alpine meadows, and steep gorges are lined with white-barked, slender aspen trees with shimmering yellow, brilliant gold, and dark orange leaves. And wildlife abounds in the crisp, clear light of autumn hue.

Fall brings cooler weather so be sure to bring a light jacket—up here there is always a chance of snow. This is America’s highest narrow-gauge railroad, as it was over 130 years ago. And this is the season to experience Cumbres & Toltec country in all of its glory.  Space is limited but your imagination needn't be.  Daily 10 am departures out of Chama, New Mexico.

Visit www.cumbrestoltec.com or call 1.888.CUMBRES and experience the brilliant colors of Autumn in New Mexico.
