Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian

North Central region of New MexicoThe Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian is a museum devoted to Native American arts located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was founded in 1937 by Mary Cabot Wheelwright who came from Boston and Hastiin Klah, an esteemed and influential Navajo singer, or “medicine man.”

The museum hosts changing exhibitions of contemporary and historic Native American art with an emphasis on the Southwest. Main gallery exhibitions change twice a year.
