‘2008 New Mexico Vacation Guide’
Hot Off the Press

The handy dandy “2008 New Mexico Vacation Guide”  – 192 pages chock-full of places to see, things to do and people to meet, along with information essential to living and working in the Land of Enchantment – is available free of charge at a tourist destination near you.

With a press run of approximately 600,000 copies, the official state guide “takes a long look at this nation’s most enchanting destinations,” said Michael Cerletti, Secretary of the New Mexico Tourism Department. “This year’s guide has been redesigned with the reader in mind, providing detailed information targeting not only our visitors - be they here for business or pleasure - but also residents and potential residents.”

As it is every year, the New Mexico Vacation Guide was produced by New Mexico Magazine, a division of the Tourism Department.  Emily Drabanski, longtime editor of New Mexico Magazine, is the editor of the guide. It was redesigned by Fabian West and written by Ashley M. Biggers. Jim Wood was in charge of production, assisted by Linda J. Sanchez.

“This useful tool is available not only in the printed version, but will also soon be available on our web site (www.newmexico.org) and on CD,” Secretary Cerletti added, “which will be distributed far and wide though our fulfillment center, visitor information centers, mobile visitor centers, industry partners and by department staff at media and trade shows around the world. It is a major marketing tool for us that is both well done and well accepted. It is the resource for everyone interested in visiting, living and working in New Mexico.”

The guide is currently available at the department’s nine Visitor Information Centers and at chambers of commerce and convention and visitors bureaus statewide. For information on distribution, call Fulfillment Center Manager Toby Martinez, 505-670-0613, or visit www.newmexico.org.
