In addition to providing information to the public through print media outlets via press releases, feature stories and interviews, the Public Information Office is charged with developing speeches and presentations for the department; updating the Website on a near-daily basis; developing a media relations system and database, including electronic, targeting media contacts; and coordinating with the media relations manager on joint promotional efforts.
