Clairmont

Located in Catron County, Clairmont was a mining camp as early as 1822, but never measured up to expectations. It survived until the late 1880s as a supply center for roving prospectors. At the site of the one time mining camp beside Copper Creek are two sturdy log cabins and a corral.
