The Great Santa Fe Trail Horse Race Endurance Ride - This endurance race covers 515 miles in New Mexico.
Lea County Rodeo - The Lea County Rodeo, held in the county seat of Lovington, features a Hispanic heritage celebration, livestock shows, PRCA rodeo, local team roping, open 4D barrel race, 19 & under calf roping, nightly entertainment, strolling acts, and a fiddling contest.
New Mexico State Fair - Hundreds of horsemen participate in several competitions and shows during the Fair, held annually at the New Mexico Fair Grounds in Albuquerque.
Shiprock Navajo Fair - The oldest and most traditional of the Navajo fairs, held in Shiprock.
Zia Regional Rodeo - This rodeo, organized by the New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association, is held annually in Albuquerque.
