The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus brings its exciting 36th Season to a triumphant close with one of the pivotal works in classical music history. The full Orchestra and over 90 choristers fill The Lensic stage for two performances of Ludwig van Beethoven's monumental Ninth Symphony, in celebration of this master composer's 250th Anniversary. Led by Principal Conductor Guillermo Figueroa, and Choral Direction by Carmen Flórez-Mansi, this grand composition will be brought to life with renowned soloists Mary Wilson, soprano; Shirin Eskandani, mezzo-soprano; Rafael Davila, Tenor; and Adrian Smith, bass-baritone. Complimenting this celebratory program will be the famed composer Ernesto Cordero's rhythmic Mariandá and Maurice Ravel's colorful and harmonious Mother Goose Suite.
