Meet at Leasburg Dam State Park Visitor Center for a ranger guided tour of exhibits, followed by a 2.5mi hike, and learn about the African American history of the area from the present to the Buffalo Soldiers of the 1800's. Visit adjacent Fort Selden and tour museum and ruins afterwards. Bring at least 2qts. of water per person and sturdy shoes. There is a $5 per car admission fee for the park. Event is free with paid camping permit. Admission to Ft. Selden State Historic Site is $5 per person - 17yrs and older, 16 and younger are free.
