Hike in and camp along a portion of the Continental Divide Trail in beautiful mesa country, then take in the annual Ghost Ranch Bluegrass Concert after our adventure. Starting near Georgia O’Keefe’s beloved Ghost Ranch, we will backpack from 6,500 feet to 9,500 feet elevation and see the transition from high desert to alpine terrain. Drink the waters of Ojitos Canyon and miraculous springs. View geologic strata created eons ago. Transportation is provided from Santa Fe to the trailhead at the Chama River, near Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu, returning to Santa Fe after the trip and Saturday evening concert. Food, cooking equipment, stoves, fuel, and water treatment are provided. Rental of tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads can be arranged with Less Traveled Trails.
