Dragon Lights Albuquerque, a Chinese cultural festival formerly known as the New Mexico Chinese Lantern Festival, will open to the public on October 5, 2018 and run through December 2, 2018 at EXPO New Mexico. The festival will feature all new larger-than-life, fully-illuminated lanterns, as well as Chinese cultural performances and special handicrafts. The event will highlight a 40-foot-long dragon, showcase Chinese dancers and acrobats in two nightly shows and three weekend shows, provide special themed weekend activities, and bring 25 artisans to assemble the lanterns and share the Chinese culture with the community. Dragon Lights will be closed on Mondays, but will run Tuesday through Sunday.
