Edmund and the Astronaut opens June 25! Don't miss this fun sci-fi space adventure on stage at FUSION!

The story of an astronaut (rather: a ‘protein portion chemist’ aka spaceship's cook) stranded in deep-space who finds a spaceship (and a pair of robots inside), Edmund and the Astronaut is a sci-fi stage play that brings space adventure to the theater. Written and produced by Ross Kelly and Sarah Loeppke, Edmund and the Astronaut is the world’s first stage play to star a full-size remote controlled robot! The first stage play from Kelly and Loeppke’s creative production company JoyrKade, the production is funded in part by a City of Albuquerque UETF Resiliency Resident grant and a recent successful crowdfunding campaign. This production will be a return to the stage where Kelly got his professional acting start in 2004. FUSION Theatre Company co-founder Jacqueline Reid will co-direct the play, which will run at FUSION in the Cell Theatre, June 25 through July 10, 2022. The play’s star robot, Edmund, was fabricated by LA-based Fonco Studios and will be voiced by Elijah Kelly.
