The Albuquerque Historical Society offers FREE WALKING TOURS of Downtown Albuquerque every Saturday morning at 10AM. Wear comfortable shoes and allow 2 hours for the tours. We meet at First and Central, near the Century Theater and end the tour near Robinson Park, a total of 8 blocks. The New Mexico Territory attracted a diverse population before and after The SF&T Railroad arrived in 1880. Our tours highlight the historic events and characters that shaped New Town into modern Albuquerque. You may park on Central Avenue free of charge on Saturdays. Our Saturday morning tours run until Thanksgiving and resume in mid-January. Please leave pets at home, except for assistance animals. We enter several historic buildings that do not allow animals. Call (505) 289-0586 for information or to arrange for a large group(over 5) or a special tour for your organization.
