As part of the Hobbs Schools 21st Century Community Learning Centers Afterschool Initiative, the Center for the Arts’s Academy for the Arts, Jefferson University and Southern Heights Elementary’s 21st CCLC programs are partnering to present the first-ever Hobbs Schools 21st CCLC Hispanic Folk Dance Exhibition. The dance exhibition will feature live performances of flamenco dance by the Center for the Arts 21st CCLC students, under the instruction of Santa Fe’s premier flamenco dance studio, EmiArteFlamenco. The event will also feature Ballet Folkloric performances by the Jefferson University 21st CCLC students, under the instruction of Josie Marquez as well as Southern Heights 21st CCLC students, under the instruction of Catherine Brijalba. The 21st CCLC Hispanic Folk Dance Exhibition is presented as part of the Hobbs Schools Community Learning Centers Afterschool Initiative culminating family events and will take place on Friday, April 28th from 6-7pm at the Center for the Arts. The showcase is free and open to the public. However, seating is limited.
