In this performance, saxophonist Horace Alexander Young will honor his teachers and biggest foundational influences: Campbell “Skeets” Tolbert, Hal Tennyson, Conrad Johnson, Arnett Cobb, Don Wilkerson, Jimmy Ford, and Tony Campise. Accompanied by John Rangel on piano, Frank Murray on bass, and John Trentacosta on drums, the concert will pull from the repertoire of Ray Charles, Bill Withers, Joe Sample, The Crusaders, and others.
