Whitewater Mesa Fun Kite Flying Picnic
- Sanctioned by the American Kite Association -
Gather up your family and friends and come to Glenwood and join us for the Whitewater Mesa Fun Kite Flying Picnic. Last year 126 people joined us so there is plenty of space without fences to tangle your kite strings, and room to park for your tailgate picnic. While you are here and for a completely different experience, walk one or all six of the labyrinths and a maze across the road at Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths.
TIME: 12 noon – 5pm on Saturday 6th April 2018.
PLACE: Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths is at 355 Bursum Road. Second house on the left after mile marker 3 on NM 159 off Hwy 180, between Glenwood and Alma, NM 88039. GPS 33.3765, -108.852
NB: Take no notice of MapQuest, Google Maps or Apple Maps as they have us located 35 miles away on a trail up the mountain in the Gila Wilderness!
ADMISSION: Free. There will be a free raffle drawing for a kite at 2.30pm, so be sure to pick up your raffle ticket on arrival at the gate with the labyrinth sign.
WE PROVIDE: Water, kite mending supplies, a Johnny on the Spot porta-pottie, loaner kites.
YOU BRING: your picnic, your kite, your laughter, the whole family and all your friends, your sunhat and something to sit on.
