Working for the Ford Model Agency, Nancy Lee Andrews model for some of the greatest photographers of the 1960s and 70s. They included Richard Avedon, Bert Stern, Dick Ballerian, Irving Penn, and Gordon Munro, but it was Milton Greene who recognized that she had a burning desire to click the shutter herself. “He handed me a Nikon camera and said, “try it and see what happens,” Andrews recalls. “From that first roll onwards, I was hooked on the process of capturing the constantly changing moment. People are the most fascinating subjects on earth and I have loved photography ever since.”

A Dose of Rock ‘n’ Roll, a coffee table book, reveals the intimate access to music royalty that was accorded Nancy Lee Andrews. The photographs, beginning in 1970, present assorted iconic images that have become a historical imprint of that era. Among legendary names pictured in this compilation besides Ringo are John Lennon, George Harrison, Keith Moon, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Keith Moon, Harry Nilsson, and Gregg Allman, to name a few.  Andrews’ work is also shown in galleries all across the country.
