Bill was born in Chicago. He graduated the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, in the Industrial Design curriculum. After teaching Industrial Design at North Carolina State University and University of Illinois he started a business career in product design, invention and marketing. His last position was as a vice president of a marketing firm traded on the NYSE.

After 25 years, living and working in New York City, Bill and his wife, Mary Ann, moved to Taos, New Mexico where he is pursuing his interests in contemporary and western art. He is an award winning editorial cartoonist and writes and illustrates the bilingual (Spanish-English) comic strip, Umberto.

Bill's first major show was at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, in 1969. He has shown at the University of Illinois Krannert Museum and the North Carolina Museum of Art.

He has exhibited in Sedona Art Association's juried, “Taste of Taos Show”, and was chosen for the Tubac Center For The Arts, “Trading Places; Tubac, Taos Show”. His sculpture was juried into the prestigious “New Mexico 2000 Show” at the New Mexico Museum of Fine Art in Santa Fe. His print work was shown at the New Mexico Print Makers Gallery in Santa Fe.

Bills first one man show in New Mexico was held at the Art Divas Gallery, Taos NM in 2008. The show's title; “One of The Few Good Men”.

He is a member of the Taos Society of Watercolorists, and exhibits regularly with this group. He shows paintings and prints, locally, at Chimayó Trading del Norte in Ranchos de Taos.
