Calling all artists - join us at the peak of the changing colors of autumn for a day of painting, music and festivities at the heart of the golden Aspen grove. A celebration of glorious season and the thriving community of local artists, the plein air festival matches two of Santa Fe’s premier qualities. All artists are welcome to attend. To sign up for the festival, visit the Beals & Co. website and fill in the form: As Santa Fe based artist Bernard Marks, who will be attending the festival, explains, painting in the Santa Fe National Forest during that time of year is unparalleled: “The unique aroma, the crisp air, the crackle of fallen leaves and the varied palette of colors appeal to all the senses when you’re painting from nature in autumn. The challenge is to recapture this sensory experience on a large canvas when painting in a studio. I’ve painted in most of America’s National Parks, such as the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, and Bryce Canyon. Painting in the Sangre de Cristo mountains on a beautiful fall day rivals any of those iconic places.” The festival occurs in tandem with Ski Santa Fe’s pre-season activities, including live music from JJ and the Hooligans. Grab a beer, play our disc golf course, or take a ride on the chairlift $15 round trip ($10 one way). Buy your season pass and ride the chair for FREE! Come in to the Sport Shop for our annual sale. Up to 60% off of last years clothes and gear! BAz Coffee Bar and La Casa Cafe will be open from 10am to 3pm. Visit for more details.
