This historic village celebrates National Trails Day with a celebration at the Questa History Trail. Experience a microcosm of northern New Mexico History along this .6m route. Self-guided walk with on-hand experts, traditional treats, music and more. Discover 5000 years of human habitation and topics from rare geologic features, Hispano and multi-cultural settlement, Native history and conflict, and much more. The heart of the walk is a visit to the restored San Antonio de Padua church. This historic adobe structure dates to the mid-1800s. The route is rough in spots but can be followed by car much of the way. Meet at the (one!) traffic light in Questa. (the self-guided trail can be walked at any time, if you miss this one-day event! Plus, enjoy the related, richly-researched website.)
