The village of Questa, NM celebrates the opening of its new Questa History Trail. This .6m loop illustrates a true microcosm of Northern New Mexico history; from rare geologic features, Hispano and multi-cultural settlements, Native life and conflicts, and a lot more. A welcome map of the trail along with a timeline of 5000 years of human population is located right at the (one!) traffic light in town.  The heart of the walking trail is the restored San Antonio de Padua church on Questa’s hidden historic plaza. This adobe structure dates to the mid-1800s.  The self-guided trail can be walked at any time; rough in spots, much of the route can be driven, with plenty of parking at the trailhead and adjacent Visitors Center. A project of the Questa Creative Council. And enjoy the rich companion website.
