Each October, mountain bikers from across the south west meet in Farmington, New Mexico to compete in the annual Road Apple Rally! The Road Apple Rally is a favorite for professional and new riders and in 2018 will celebrate 37 years of racing. The Road Apple Rally began in 1981 as a competition between horses and bicycles. It has since become a bicycle only race and stands as the longest running annual mountain bike race in the United States. Bring the family for a day of fun and try the children's riding obstacle course. Pro and expert divisions will compete for $4,000 in cash prizes. The Road Apple Rally occurs annually the first Saturday in October.
