October 19, 2021--An in-person event showing the PBS film "Words From a Bear" about the life and times of Dr. N. Scott Momaday at WNMU's Light Hall from 6:30 -9 PM. Readings from some of his works will be included.
October 20, 2021--A celebration of "Hillerman Day" about the life and work of Tony and Anne Hillerman. . Readings and presentations by Anne Hillerman and James McGrath Morris, author of the biography "Tony Hillerman: A Life," A photo exhibit by Tony's brother, Barry Hillerman follows. At WNMU's Miller Library from 4:00-6:30 PM on a hybrid format.
October 21, 2021--Poet Laureate Emeritus Jack Crocker and WMU's writer-in-residence will discuss their latest books: "The Algorithm of I" (Crocker) and "Nazare" (Wilson). At WNMU's Light Hall from 6:00-8:00 PM.
October 22, 2021--Our keynote speaker Rick Bass the environmental activist will speak virtually on " Art and Activism/ Art or Activism" from 2:00-3:00 PM.
Starting at 3:30 PM our Fiesta panels begin with Advise for Novelists, Health, Poetry and Fiction topics. At 6;30- 7:30 PM our Felipe de Ortego y Gasca presentation on Writing and Activism takes place.
