Galileo's first views of the Moon through a telescope launched a revolution in science and forever changed our understanding of the universe. Join Oliver Lee Memorial State Park and the Amateur Astronomers Group and tour the first quarter Moon close-up through telescopes far better than those of Galileo. See lunar craters and mountain ranges and how those relate to our own vistas from Oliver Lee Memorial State Park. See other bright deep sky objects and hear stories from ancient mythologies to modern scientific discoveries.
