A Bioblitz is an event that brings volunteer scientists, teachers, students, and community members together to find and identify as many species as possible in a given location. The goal of this Bioblitz is to collect and enter data into iNaturalist while encouraging public land stewardship and citizen science, improve transparency in how science is applied, increase confidence in decision outcomes for public land, and enhance stakeholder support. This is a family-friendly event where attendees will learn how to identify common flora and fauna, network with a variety of subject-matter experts from federal, state, and private agencies, and learn more about activities occurring on public lands.
