Wildlife West’s zoo is one of the few places where people can be close to and observe native wildlife in their natural habitat. Get a behind the scenes tour of Koshari, a 500 pound black bear, Wiley Coyote and the newest arrivals – two young mountain lions. Tours start at 10 a.m. and run each hour throughout the day. In celebration of Wildlife West’s 25th Anniversary, the Festival is FREE. Exciting safari and photography tours in Africa will be presented by Joe Viljoen from ChaZen Nature Conservation & Education Center located within South Africa’s Vredefort Dome, an International World Heritage Site and largest meteorite impact structure on earth. The Herpetological Society will showcase their fascinating reptiles, along with representatives from other environmental organizations. Stay for the Chuckwagon BBQ, followed by live western swing music featuring the Watermelon Mountain Jug Band. Raptor free-flight presentation 6 p.m., dinner 7 p.m., music 8-9 p.m. RSVP required by 2 p.m. on day of show.
