Take a walk inside the artists' workshops at the Zuni Pueblo ArtWalk.
In the center of the Universe sits the Pueblo of Zuni. Here all things exist in an intermingling balance represented best by the pueblo's artwork. Using the gifts of the Earth, we transform natural materials to tell the story of our people.
Our Zuni ancestors, have lived in the American Southwest for thousands of years. Our cultural and religious traditions are rooted, in large part, in our people's deep and close ties to the mountains, river ways, forests, and deserts of this ancient Zuni homeland. Through our art, pottery, jewelry-making, silversmith, fetish carving and painting we tell the stories of culture and creation that is uniquely Zuni.
On Saturday August 11th and Sunday August 12th from 10am - 5pm we invite you to visit us in our workshops to see works in progress and hear the stories behind our process. We look forward to seeing you there!
Want to get to know us before hand? You can view all of the participating artists on our Zuni Pueblo Art website.
