The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta may be the most well known, but fall is full of fairs and festivals all across New Mexico.

 

The New Mexico Tourism Department has created a roundup of some of the most popular fall events happening this season. From harvest fests to Oktoberfests, there is something for everyone in all four corners of the state.

 

Highlights from the New Mexico True Fall Festivals & Event calendar include:

 

Steampunk Spectacular in Madrid (September 23): There will be live entertainment, workshops, a costume contest, and a live action role-play of a murder mystery.

 

Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta (September 27 – October 1): Wine seminars, cooking classes, guest chef luncheons, live auction, reserve wine tasting and silent auction, golf tournament and grand tasting event at the Santa Fe Opera.

 

Ancient Way Fall Arts Festival in El Morro (October 7): Pumpkin carving contest, cakewalk, harvest displays, and demonstrations on blacksmithing, knife-making, weaving and wood crafting.

 

Roswell Jazz Festival (October 18-22): Lively jazz shows in seven Roswell venues including several free concerts, a “School of Jazz” workshop, a piano showcase and an uplifting Jazz worship service.
