The first U.S. display of the Prado Exhibition will be held May-October 2017 in Cathedral Park in the heart of downtown Santa Fe. The exhibit is an outdoor public display of high-quality photographic reproductions of the master works of the Prado Museum reproduced at full size.  Prado Santa Fe will feature 92 full-scale reproductions of the Prado masterpiece collection and is the central exhibition in Santa Fe’s 2017 Celebration of Global Art & Culture collaboration with 20-plus Santa Fe Museums, organizations and events.

As a partner of the New Mexico Tourism Department, you have the opportunity to submit complementary (similar in nature) events and experiences for consideration in joint promotional efforts surrounding the Prado Exhibition. To participate, add your cultural heritage, cuisine or art event and/or experience that falls May 2017 – October 2017 at NewMexico.org (choose the Prado category). Those “tangible tourism” opportunities that can easily be associated with Spain will be posted on a special Prado Exhibition page at NewMexico.org and promoted as extended stay opportunities for visitors interested in seeing the Prado in Santa Fe. For example, Spanish cooking or wine-tasting classes, flamenco performances, guided tours of missions and churches, Fiestas, painting classes that incorporate a Spanish theme, etc. Don’t have an event planned? Create something!

Add your events/experiences by March 28, 2017, then email industry.relations@state.nm.us with the following information:
