Tier One:

Tier I projects should be “shovel-worthy” meaning that there should be feasible plans to begin construction the moment the planning phase of the project is complete.

Tier IA: Planning and Design -  Up to $100,000

Tier I, Track A: Planning and Design is available to applicants who are in the elementary phase of their tourism infrastructure project.

Please see the grant guidelines below for a full list of eligible preliminary studies and plans as well as other required documentation.

This track will fund a 5% match for preliminary studies and plans required for the successful and sustainable implementation of the project. If you are not able to meet the 5% match, you may indicate so on your application.

Tier IB: Programming  - Up to $50,000

Tier I, Track B: Programming is available to applicants who wish to develop programming materials for their tourism infrastructure project.

This track requires no match and provides technical assistance and funds to projects that wish to expand and enhance their tourism infrastructure programming.

What Will Make My Application Stronger?

It is highly encouraged that you put your tourism-infrastructure project on the Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP) under the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) of New Mexico.

Projects on ICIP as well as tourism-infrastructure projects on our New Mexico Tourism Department Tourism Infrastructure Dashboard will be prioritized.
