Keep New Mexico True has an official Girl Scouts patch!  The Girl Scouts of NM Trails (central and northern NM) have joined the Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest (southern NM) in encouraging girls to earn their Keep New Mexico True patch by completing certain requirements relating to community beautification.  While the KNMT patch has been available for all NM troops for a while, it is now the FEATURED patch for November, and we anticipate Girl Scout troops from all over New Mexico to be earning it this month.

To earn the patch, Girl Scouts will have to learn about litter and recycling, and then take action in some way, by participating in clean ups, beautification projects, or recycling programs. The patch let's the Scouts be creative and come up with original events as well.
