On Friday, July 28th, our department held the KNMT Isotopes night and celebrated the achievements of some truly incredible kiddos. Keres Children’s Learning Center (KCLC), a dual language Montessori school from Cochiti Pueblo, is the reigning winner for the 2016 Keep America Beautiful Recycle-Bowl Competition. Out of 700,000 students and teachers in 1,291 (K-12) schools across the entire nation, KCLC came in 1st place for the "Community Division" award. 5 students and 2 teachers collected a total of 15,842 lbs. of recycling material, which included aluminum, cardboard, paper, and plastics. As per competition rules that equals an amazing 2,263 lbs. per person!
