Art Tafoya Studio
400-E San Felipe NW, Old Town, Patio San Felipe del Norte Albuquerque

Art Tafoya is a Native American silversmith of Yaqui descent. Trained in the art of silversmithing by Carlos White Eagle, student of the legendary Fred Peshlakai, Art makes his own stamps and dies then uses them to create original silver and turquoise jewelry. He uses only natural American turquoise to compliment his silver designs. Art Tafoya has made an exhaustive study of Fred Peshlakai's work, and is one of only three Native American silversmiths to be listed in the Grove Encyclopedia of American Art.
