The Dream Water of the Cimarron River at Cimarroncita offers some of the finest fly fishing in the Southwest with one of the healthiest dominant wild brown trout populations in New Mexico. Our 1.8 mile stretch of the Dream Water offers a variety of environments to both beginner and advanced anglers. This sinuous stretch with the shade of alders, ponderosa pine and cottonwood trees averages ten to fifteen feet wide and one to three feet deep at normal flows and offers a full list of prime river characteristics, fast riffles, deep runs, bend pools, undercut banks, a spring creek tributary, fast and slow channels and pockets.
