El Comedor de Anayas has been in business since 1953. It has staying in the Anaya family since then. We specialize in homemade New Mexican and American foods. Menu items include homemade Chile rellenoes, sopaipillas, carne adovada, Enchiladas, burritos, Burgers, steaks, locally grown pinto beans, tacos, and chicken fried steak. We have a daily lunch buffet which always includes a salad bar, green chile enchiladas, fabulous fried chicken and menu of the day. \nBeer and Wine available, including our local beer. \nOur restaurant has a capacity of 250 people. We have 3 dining rooms ideal for large or small groups. We have catered dinners from 60 to 1800 people. \nEl Comedor de Anayas has served the community for over 57 years. We have sponsored school groups for fund raisers, hosted free dinners for Thanksgiving, donated the use of our restaurant for church functions and continue to donate to local groups for their fund raisers. \nEl Comedor de Anayas has served locals, tourists, celebrities, senators, governors and even a president of the United States.\nA few of our menu items are known by names of local customers such as Burrel, green chile beef enchiladas with an egg, Barkley breakfast, Lauriano-bowl of fresh pinto beans with chopped green chile, Filandro-bowl of red chile meat and fresh pinto beans and a few more. \nWe take pride in our homemade Biscochitos and homemade bread, made daily as part of our menu and for sell. Our Biscochitos are available year around.\nThe star that lights up above the restaurant was installed in the 60's and has been restored to light up in it vibrant colors. There are only a few of these rotospheres in the United States. \nWe are open daily from 7a.m. to 8:30 p.m.\nFree internet available for our customers.
