The IARC collection is considered by many to be one of the most remarkable assemblages of Southwestern Native art in the world. Representing a broad range of works, including pottery, basketry, jewelry, paintings, and more, the collection’s foundation initially was formed in 1922 as the Indian Arts Fund. The collection has since grown to over 12,000 items, which are housed in two vaults in the IARC building. Guided tours of the collection are given every Friday afternoon at 2:00. The fee is $15 (free for SAR members), and reservations are strongly recommended. Call (505) 954-7205 for more information.
