Rio Grande Vineyards and Winery is located in the historic Mesilla Valley where vineyards were initially established by the Spanish priests in the early 1600’s. Being just outside of Las Cruces and 4.5 miles south of Old Mesilla makes us the perfect destination for locals and visitors seeking a "True New Mexico" experience. In our Tasting Room, visitors may view a number of old photographs of the area, talk with our winemaker, Gordon, or just relax and enjoy the grand view of the majestic Organ Mountains from our patio. We carry a large assortment of different wines, both sweet and dry to meet a full scale of wine preferences. Our 10 acre vineyard has 12 varietals from which 90% of our wine is made. We do trade some of our grapes with other vineyard owners in New Mexico to produce a broader range of assortment. All of our wine production facility is on site and can be seen from the tasting room. Our medium-sized production facility produces 5-10 thousand gallons of wine annually from our vineyard which yields approximately 35-40 tons of grapes in a good year. We host numerous events per year such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and business parties. Our facility can hold up to 500 people for your event. We also host lectures, group tours, and attend local wine festivals. Come join us on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday from 12-5:30 or by group appointment!
