Shade Tree started three years ago when Ryan and Jimmy opened a motorcycle custom shop in a one car garage. One year later, they moved to our prior location just east of Nob Hill across from the Highland Theater. In October 2012 they added a small cafe to the shop with a stage for live music. It was then that they realized they could take their passions for food, motorcycles, and music a step further. Ryan and Jimmy joined up with Rich in January 2013 to move Shade Tree to it's current location in the heart of Nob Hill and add a full restaurant to the shop. It took nearly a year to complete the project, with lots of time, hard work, and thoughtful design contributions from each of the three partners. Upon opening the new location two core values stood out, honesty and quality. Here at Shade Tree, we take pride in what we do and stand behind our products. Our wine and extensive beer lists were researched by those who have passion for the arts of brewing and viticulture. Our decor holds true to our enthusiasm for all things motorcycles. We take pride in our food where quality starts at the base ingredients. We roast our turkey and corned beef in house, all our dressings and sauces are made from scratch, our steaks are USDA choice Angus beef cut in house, our vegetables are seasonal for quality. The kitchen has three principles: high quality ingredients, fresh home made flavors, and love for food itself.
