In its 24th season, the Taos Chamber Music Group embarks on another series of "wild and scenic" concerts that touch on life, mortality, struggle and transcendence. In addition to favorites by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Brahms, highlights include Tibetan-influenced music, a powerful program featuring violinist Laurie Carney, the return of virtuoso pianist Gleb Ivanov in all-Schubert holiday time concerts, and a celebration of the 80th birthday of Philip Glass. Multidisciplinary collaborations include artist Ethan Jackson and dancer Amber Vasquez. We also welcome several exciting young artists, and the group will continue to bring its programs to hundreds of Taos County school children. Concerts take place in the Arthur Bell Auditorium at the Harwood Museum of Art where TCMG is the Resident Chamber Music Group. New this season, performances begin at 5:30 p.m. You can make an evening of it and enjoy dinner out afterwards at one of our participating restaurants. Order your tickets early (get the discounted price with a season’s subscription), and please consider a tax-deductible donation to help make these exciting programs possible.
