When Ray and Vicky parked their neon orange Lunch Wagon on the corner of Central and E Avenue in Carrizozo one year ago, they weren't ready for the response. "We thought for a small town like this we wouldn't be that busy," Vicky Hughes said. "But we are so busy, my husband and I can barely keep up." That's what happens when the food is that good and the gratitude extended to customers is that sincere. So good, in fact, that the Lunch Wagon has been nominated as having the Best Breakfast Burrito in New Mexico. The Lunch Wagon make all of their food to order, using only the freshest ingredients. They offer a variety of breakfast burritos all with the option of fresh green chilies. The lunch menu consists of burgers, steak sandwiches, BLTs, and meat and steak burritos. For around $3.50 a pop, customers are served a fresh, hot, made-to-order burrito.
