As a nonprofit organization promoting local foods and community wellness, Three Sisters Kitchen is an inviting gathering spot in downtown Albuquerque. It’s where food meets camaraderie, and where young entrepreneurs can test out commercial equipment and supplies.

Executive Director Anzia Bennett says that Three Sisters Kitchen is here “to use the power and love of local food to create economic opportunity, improve community health, and bring our communities together.”

Built to host cooking demos, specialty courses like how to make pie crust, and community meals, Three Sisters Kitchen also organizes group cooking classes that are multigenerational and multilingual, focusing on business, nutrition, and health education for organizations like Together for Brothers, an Albuquerque nonprofit that supports young men of color.

Open since 2017, Three Sisters Kitchen recently unveiled a new addition, a café that serves breakfast and lunch, made with local produce and artisanal products from area vendors.
