The town of Cerrillos has been used as a movie location for more than a dozen projects.
In 1958, Walt Disney Studios released a television miniseries entitled The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca, starring Robert Loggia in the title role.
A few Stutz Bearcat cars zipped through the streets of Cerrillos for Bearcats! in 1971.
In 1987, filming Outrageous Fortune brought Bette Midler, Shelley Long and George Carlin to Cerrillos.
Young Guns was filmed around New Mexico in 1988 and Cerrillos became the town of Lincoln. The action took place on First Street and at the corner of First & Main and the signs on First Street buildings are reminders of the film.

The 2011 TV Pilot for Longmire was filmed on back roads of Cerrillos and the Red Pony Bar was in Madrid starring Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Bailey Chase, Lou Diamond Phillips.
