Native American Feast Days
These special observances allow tribal members to come together in a renewal of their language, culture, and religion. While many communities allow visitors, it is always good to call ahead. The pueblos can close to non-members without prior notification.

Taos Pueblo celebrates the annual harvest feast of San Geronimo on September 30th. The day starts with traditional foot races, the traditional clowns have their pole climb in the afternoon; throughout the day there is an open air market and food stands. Please remember no photographs and/or recording devices are allowed in the vicinity by visitors. Vespers at the San Geronimo church take place the day before in the afternoon.
