Applications are now being accepted for the 505 Southwestern New Mexico True Scholars scholarship program, which aims to recognize passion for the future of agriculture in New Mexico.

For the second year, the scholarship program, a partnership between 505 Southwestern and New Mexico True, is geared toward New Mexico high school seniors who are committed to making an impact in the agricultural industry and overall economy of food and agriculture of New Mexico.

“We are thrilled to partner with 505 Southwestern, a New Mexico job creator, in creating this scholarship to help young people who have a passion for agriculture pursue higher education,” Governor Susana Martinez said. “505 Southwestern has invested in New Mexico’s economy by expanding their business operations, and this program only further proves their commitment to New Mexico and the future of our workforce.”

“We are proud to partner with 505 Southwestern and support New Mexico’s future through the 505 Southwestern New Mexico True Scholars program,” Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Latham said. “This is an exciting opportunity for students in New Mexico who are passionate about agriculture to continue with that passion through college and beyond.”
