(Santa Fe, N.M.) – In celebration of Thursday’s National Margarita Day, the New Mexico Tourism Department has released a list of some of the top margaritas across the state.

“There is no better place to celebrate and enjoy this quintessential Southwestern cocktail than New Mexico,” Tourism Department Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Latham said. “These margarita mixes are unique and bursting with New Mexico True culinary creativity and ingredients.”

A Mandala Research report states that 51 percent of all leisure travelers seek out unique or memorable eating and drinking experiences while on vacation. This rings true in New Mexico, where visitors are consistently more interested in cuisine and culinary experiences when compared to the U.S. average.
