New Mexico’s state-run museums and historic sites are offering free admission to furloughed federal employees and their families during the government shutdown.

“New Mexico’s Department of Cultural Affairs is opening doors at all of our facilities to furloughed federal government workers and their families,” said Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) cabinet secretary, Debra Garcia y Griego. “Our goal is to support the furloughed worker.”

DCA will be offering free admission all its properties to any federal employee with a photo ID, and their family. DCA properties include these museums and historic sites:
