Taos Ski Valley will be running Chair 4, on the backside of the mountain daily from 10 am – 4 pm, June 23 through September 4th, then weekends from Labor Day through October 8th. Additionally,

Taos continues its revitalization efforts with new lifts, upgraded snowmaking systems, and B-Corp certification for the 2017/18 season.

A completely renovated Children’s’ Learning Center  will increase Taos’ appeal to the whole family. Their remake includes:

• Removing two lifts
• Adding a new triple lift
• New guest drop off and remodeled Children’s Center
• Regraded terrain designed to meet every level of the learning progression
• New gondola connecting the Children’s Center to the plaza, just steps away from The Blake hotel

Major investment in Snowmaking Upgrades – Taos already has a huge competitive advantage with a 9,200-foot base area and extremely cold November and December temperatures. A continued upgrade of their snowmaking system will accentuate this advantage with new centralized automation, upgraded snowmaking lines, and over 30 new state-of-the-art snowmaking guns.

More Gladed Terrain – a partnership with The Nature Conservancy and Forest Service means sustainable forestry practices are in place and water quality down valley is maintained, with the added benefit of beautiful new gladed terrain on Wild West, North American, and Ernie’s.

B-Corporation Status – earlier this year, Taos was named the first certified ski resort B Corporation in the world.  It has joined the ranks of Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, New Belgium Brewing and other notable companies to remain committed to a business ethic of being best for the world by balancing economic development with environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
