The Tourism Department will be conducting in-person interviews at Tingley Coliseum at EXPO New Mexico on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. In total, the Tourism Department and New Mexico Magazine are looking to fill 9 positions.

Candidates interested in applying for a position with NMTD who live in the Albuquerque or Santa Fe area are requested to attend the Rapid Hire Event, but individuals interested in applying for any of our positions who live outside the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area are invited to interview for any position remotely at one of the New Mexico Workforce Connections offices listed below.

  • Brief Job Description: The Commerce Analyst is responsible for monitoring, reporting and forecasting economic trends and policies specific to New Mexico’s tourism industry.
  • Pay Band: 70
  • Minimum qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or Business Administration

  • Brief Job Description: The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for implementing technical assistance tools and facilitating industry resources and capacity support programs for tourism related businesses wishing to locate, expand, or do business in New Mexico.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Rural or Urban Development or related field
    • Experience: Two (2) years in community or economic development, business management, finance, negotiation, or related field

CULTURAL HERITAGE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

  • Brief Job Description: The Cultural Heritage Program Coordinator is responsible for fostering and cultivating relationships with cultural entities across the state for the purpose of developing effective marketing strategies and tourism products that will contribute to identified tourism goals.
