COMMERCE ANALYST

• Brief Job Description: The Commerce Analyst is responsible for monitoring, reporting and forecasting economic trends and policies specific to New Mexico’s tourism industry.
• Pay Band: 70
• Minimum qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or Business Administration
  • Experience: Two (2) years in statistical analyses, database manipulation, or statistical software usage

TOURISM DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

• Brief Job Description: The Tourism Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Division Director in determining strategy, planning, and implementation processes for statewide tourism development projects.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Planning, Rural or Urban Development, or related field
  • Experience: Two (2) years in community or economic development, or related field

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

• Brief Job Description: The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for implementing technical assistance tools and facilitating industry resources and capacity support programs for tourism related businesses wishing to locate, expand, or do business in New Mexico.

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Rural or Urban Development or related field
  • Experience: Two (2) years in community or economic development, business management, finance, negotiation, or related field

CULTURAL HERITAGE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

• Brief Job Description: The Cultural Heritage Program Coordinator is responsible for fostering and cultivating relationships with cultural entities across the state for the purpose of developing effective marketing strategies and tourism products that will contribute to identified tourism goals.
• Pay Band: 70
• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Cultural Studies, Business, or related field
  • Experience: Two (2) year in tourism, communication, or business administration within a culturally focused position or organization

• Brief Job Description: The Clean and Beautiful Program Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing statewide outreach efforts to encourage communities to improve and beautify their areas of the State.

• Brief Job Description: The Customer Service Representative Assistant responds to questions and requests in an informed and professional manner and promotes the natural beauty of the state, attractions, events, monuments, museums, historic sites, and cultures.

BUSINESS OPERATIONAL SPECIALIST

• Brief Job Description: The Business Operational Specialist will manage daily financial transactions and provide regular status reporting to division management; be responsible for creating/maintaining financial documents related to the operations of the agency as well as provide support to the New Mexico Magazine.

ASSISTANT ART DIRECTOR

• Brief Job Description: The Assistant Art Director is junior-level position responsible for assisting in the design and production of the monthly publication and supplemental design pieces, and other duties as assigned, including visual needs for other print and digital visual communications, supervising and coordinating illustrators, photographers, designers, and reviewing the portfolios of potential freelancers.

MARKETING COORDINATOR

• Brief Job Description: The Marketing Coordinator will create, develop, manage and benchmark the portfolio of marketing materials that aligns with the strategy for growth and evolution to include development of marketing collateral, event management, visibility efforts, strategic communications and messaging, media relations and supporting digital marketing efforts; and lead/execute the magazine’s marketing and promotion strategy, while supporting the CEO/Publisher and Circulation & Operations Manager to develop revenue (traditional and non-traditional).
